Mission & Vision
Our Mission
We provide a mentoring program that is designed to nourish, educate, and empower young women and girls dealing low self-esteem, trauma, or violence.
Girls Keeping It Real aims to guide our girls and young women (especially those who are living in challenging environments) to recognize and reach their full potential as members of our community. Through our community building programs, girls are given the tools and support necessary to make positive choices during a critical period in their lives.
Our Vision
Our vision is to inspire positive social change in our community and help young girls and women deepen their commitment to civic responsibility.
Girls Keeping It Real will be a county and state leader in the quality of our program, services, innovative use of resources, and professional conduct. We have respect for each person and provide assistance to disadvantaged, low income, neglected, delinquent, and maladjusted young girls and women by offering classes and workshops on self-fulfillment through peer-to-peer mentorship while the staff models excellence and persistence. Our organization will offer the following services to young women and girls within the community: individual and adapted case management, substance abuse support and care, medical clinic access, health seminars and screenings, computer literacy educational programs, government benefits and Social Services advocacy, support groups, and career counseling
