Girls Keeping It Real is a nonprofit organization that provides a mentoring program that is designed to nourish, educate, and empower young women and girls dealing with low self-esteem, trauma, or violence.  Our program empowers and equips women and girls with the ability to balance their lives emotionally, spiritually, physically, mentally, and financially while advancing to have the life that they want.

These efforts are implemented through our balance program utilizing the three Rs (Reflect, Refresh, Renew), counseling, mentoring, wellness retreats, life coaching, and education.

We will help each participant pursue their goals by offering classes and workshops on self-fulfillment through peer-to-peer mentorship while the staff models excellence and persistence. Our organization will offer the following services to young women and girls within the community: individual and adapted case management, substance abuse support and care, medical clinic access, health seminars and screenings, computer literacy educational programs, government benefits and Social Services advocacy, support groups, and career counseling.

We help underserved girls in the community by providing holistic programs that lead self-sufficiency through educational curriculum, advocacy, and overall supportive services.  These programs will assist young women and girls to develop social skills, life management skills, and to reduce unemployment for women that are handicapped, underserved, underprivileged, disenfranchised and disadvantaged.  These services will enrich each woman with the resources to attain greater community involvement and balanced living. The target group will comprise of young girls and women between the ages of 8 to 25.
